I have been closely following the US Presidential Campaign on both the Democratic and Republican sides. I must say that this indeed has been the most exciting race I have ever witnessed in my short life. Six months ago I was unsure who really would be a good candidate to truly represent the needs of the people. After 8 years of Bush in the White House I must say I have lost almost all respect for American politics and policy. If you had asked me 5 years ago who I wanted to see in the White House I would have told you Hilary Clinton the woman with the brass balls.Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton
But after discovering and reading about a young, brilliant, dynamic, charismatic, strong, handsome leader in Illinois Senator Barack Obama I had to take a second thought. Looking back on his record of working in the trenches and really understanding the needs of people through his advocacy in his legal practice and effective tenure in the Illinois state senate and as Senator. He never supported the war in Iraq, he is a unifier not a divider, he is for universal health care for all, civil rights for all, economic stability, tax reform, improved foreign policy. In the fall of 2007 I had a conversation with a friend who asked me if he ever had a chance in beating Hilary Clinton. I was unsure as I thought about the pleasantly racist people of middle America. After witnessing the massive, overwhelming support Barack has commanded there is no doubt in my mind that he can and will beat Hilliary Clinton and become the Democratic Party's Nominee for President of the United States. The status quo of dirty political games and exploitation has only brought more war. The people are crying out they want change the world needs change the world needs Barack Obama.
"I'm asking you to believe. Not just in my ability to bring about real change in Washington...I'm asking you to believe in yours." Barack Obama
If Barack Obama were to become President of the United States the act in itself would change my attitude towards the entire nation. For as it stands America is just a shopping mall I go to and then go home to my family afterward. Such change would be a very good thing not just for America but for the World. We need to have leaders that stand for more than corporate greed, corruption and divisive political rhetoric. If I were able to I would be a part of the campaign however I urge you (Americans) vote for justice, vote for responsible, prudent governance, vote change! Do you believe?
I Believe, I Support Barack Obama!
